This course is indented to equip teachers with knowledge and skills to teach ICT in schools and colleges. The course takes into account that most teachers and students need ICT in their day to day activities. In some cases there are courses and subject content that are available online whereas teachers do not have skills on how to use them. This course will therefore introduce student teachers to ICT and how to effectively teach ICT basic skills, integrating ICT in teaching, some basic programming principles, networking, multimedia, the use of web2.0 in teaching, e-learning and some basic concepts in web designing. The teachers completing this course are expected to be capable of teaching other teachers and ICT learners in managing and using ICT in education effectively.
